Polished Expression Designs Nail wraps

I have tried nail designs before and wasn't really a fan. I was lucky win a set of nail wraps from Polished Expression Designs so I decided to give them a try. First of all they were very beautiful, they had a water marble look to them. I have tried and tried water marbling with no success so that made them even more intriguing to me. But I wasn't that excited since I have had no luck in the past with nail dress/designs/wraps.

Polished Expression Design has LOTS of beautiful wraps or you can choose your own colors. So after a lot of thought I picked the ones I wanted. When I got them I read the instructions and decided to give it a try. First let me tell you it's super easy to apply these wraps. All you do is put a coat of polish, line them up, and press down with a nail stick. It will stick, it really is that easy! Just Make sure to put the round sound at your cuticle base. The next thing you do is file off the excess. That is very fast and makes the edge smooth.

I love didn't have to wait for my nail polish to dry and the wraps were set in minutes. They are so stunning and I was so amazed at how much they feel like polish once they are on.  They don't feel like a sticker, like some designs I have used. Since they don't feel like stickers they aren't raised nor do they get caught on things and lift. They do not collect debris at the tips like other nail dresses I haves. As you can see from the picture I used them as accents with a polish that matched.  After laundry, dishes, and countless other chores that are very hard on my hands, the wraps are holding up better than my polish.

As you can see after a week of wear the wrap is still beautifully in place with MINOR chipping. I didn't make it past a week because my polish was chipping and I needed to change my mani anyway. Also they removed very easily with polish remover. For those of us, like me, who cannot water marble these are the PERFECT solution.  I can't wait to purchase more I've already told my hubby, come date night my nails will be amazing.

Paint Shop Polish

Today I am excited to talk to you about two beautiful colors from Paint Shop Polish's winter collection.

The first one is Dasher a beautiful emerald green. The picture is two coats with no top coat. It goes on easily and has a very pretty shine to it. Shake well before applying and as with all polishes make sure to let the first coat dry properly before applying the second coat. But don't worry it dries super fast. The color is in the winter collection but is stunning and can be used year round.

The next one I want to tell you about is Plum Fairy. This is a clear glitter top coat that has tons of color flecks and medium size white snowflakes. I have to say I struggled with my decision of a base coat. I thought white but I didn't want the snowflakes to be camouflaged. I thought about pink or light purple (which I still think would be pretty) I decided on black matte. The polish goes on easily but I had to dig the snowflakes out. I would bet it is because I had a small bottle that it was a little harder to get them out with the brush.  When I have to remove glitter I cringe  because we all know it doesn't let go easily. I was so excited and I'm happy to tell you this glitter removed very easily!

There tons of adorable, affordable polish in the Paint Shop Polish Etsy shop so go check out the other colors. You can also see lots of her beautiful creations on FaceBook plus you can keep up with the newest releases.

I received these polishes complimentary in exchange for an honest uncompensated review. But of as usual the opinion expressed is all mine.

Kiss Nail Dress

image

My Influenster Holiday VoxBox came on Christmas Eve so I have had lots of time to experiment with all the goodies. And as promised I am doing full reviews of the products separately. I was beyond excited when I saw the KissProducts nail dress in my box. To tell you a little bit about the Kiss nail dress they come in a variety of colors and sell for $6.99 for a box of 28 strips. I have been eyeing them up but was very skeptical about paying $7.00 or more for 2 applications without knowing if they worked. Let's face it you can buy a bottle of nail polish for a couple of dollars and do your nails more than twice. I received Princess design which is like a leopard print and gems with a three dimensional feel to it, it looks better on then in the box. The strips come in several different sizes so they will fit any of your nails and there is a round side to use for your fingernails and a flatter side to use for your toe nails.

I tried the Kiss nail dress three different ways, two of which are pictured above. The first time I applied the nail dress I was really impressed how easy it is to stick on but I found it very difficult file down the excess and instead used a nail clipper to cut the excess. They stuck very easily with a few bubble here and there. The 3D gems also made it difficult to file down all the way and left little jagged edges but they made it through making a ginger bread house, washing dishes, and a shower. The next day when I woke up the jagged edges were catching on everything they were also collecting dirt/debris so I removed them. They were very easy to remove but pulled a little of my nail's top layer off. The second way I tried is also pictured above I painted my nails and cut a little of the nail dress to enhance my manicure which worked out very nicely. They stayed on and added some dress to my manicure without paying a lot of money and with very little effort. The last way I tried which is not pictured was painting some of my nails and putting the nail dress on a few of my nails. This time I used a nail scissor to cut the excess which left a much cleaner cut but ultimately resulted in the same outcome as the first try. The full dress did not stay stuck and I pealed them off the same day. I found another design on sale for $3.98 that has no 3D effect but have not tried them yet. I think the KissNail dress is a great way to have a beautiful manicure for a night out on the town without spending the salon price. It is also fast and easy to apply plus you don’t have to wait for your nails to dry but for me they did not stay on 10 days actually they only stayed on one day. Those of you who are not familiar with Influenster it is it is a social site where you can do reviews, ask and answer questions about products, earn badges, and possibly try products for free ie: a voxbox. All of the products I listed were complimentary for testing purposes and the opinion is my own.
