Frebreze Holiday Scents giveaway

Hard to believe but Christmas is only a few months away. When I think of Christmas scents, I think of pine, sugar cookies, and cinnamon and in a perfect my house would smell like one of those all through the holiday season. But last year we had a real Christmas tree and it really didn't fill the house with the pine scent like I hoped and it made my eyes burn and water so bad. I had to put it out on Christmas day.

As far as cinnamon and sugar cookies those don't last long so as far as I'm concerned that is why Febreze was invented. Febreze is my favorite air freshener to use because it last so long. I loved the pine scent spray that they released last year. This year available at WalMart they have scents like Pine/Winter, Apple/Spice, and Vanilla/Sugar for the Noticables.

I love the Noticables because they are so easy to use you just plug it in and forget about it. The 2 scents alternate filling your home making it warm inviting even when unexpected guest stop by.

These scents are available at Walmart. I love them all, the smell amazing and these scents make your home feel so festive.  I know Christmas day my house will be warm and inviting.

In the kit I received they had the cutest DIY crafts and I thought this one was adorable!

c

Dream Tone is the next generation of dark spot correction. So powerful 72% of woman dare to bare their skin. The new Dream Tone is 3 barely tinted serums formulated to visibly correct dark spot, color imperfections, and give you a more even looking skin tone. It is available in 3 serums customized for your skin tone: 1 - Fair 2 - Medium, 3 - Dark :

IMMEDIATELY:
74% saw glowing skin*

7 DAYS:
70% noticed a more even skin tone*

4 WEEKS:

69% saw the appearance of dark spots reduced*

8 WEEKS:
78% saw color imperfections reduced*

I am a HUGE Lancome fan so I was thrilled when I got accepted in this SheSpeaks program. I couldn't wait to try the newest addition Lancome Dream Tone. I received #2 which is medium shade. Truthfully I don't know why it would need a shade because it appears to be translucent when applied.

Instructions say use it twice a day after you cleanse your face and apply under your current moisturizer. The DreamTone's consistency is light and airy. I It is pink just like the bottle and there is very little smell but it is a pleasant smell  It goes on wonderfully but a word of advice, be EXTRA careful not to put your moisturizer on too soon because it will make your face unbearably sticky.  Trust me, I only did that once. Other than that one time, it wore wonderfully under my make up and it felt like nothing on my face.

I did immediately see my skin glowing so those results are 100% true. My face felt better and my skin tone is more even after a week of use. I didn't have dark spots, they are under my eyes, but I did have slightly red cheeks. I noticed that my cheeks are not as red after using.

The packaging is delightful and very pretty to look at but the pump is a GENIUS invention. There are no caps to take off and if you are like me you drop it or lose it. The top twist up to reveal a built in pump. That's great because even if the children are tempted to touch it won't squirt out, because it is just a flat surface.

If you are interested, you can purchase Lancome Dream Tone on their website. It sells for $98.00 for a 1.3 fl oz bottle.

I received this product complimentary from SheSpeaks in exchange for an honest uncompensated review but as usual the opinion is all mine.

The Fast Metabolism Diet by Haylie Pomroy

When SheSpeaks invited me to try this book I was over the top excited I want to lose weight and if I don't have to diet even better. I don't follow diets very well because I have little or no will power when it comes to food. I don't mean I eat EVERYTHING I just mean I don't like to deprive myself. I feel if I want a cookie, I will eat a cookie. I started reading this book and thought WOW this is great I may actually be able to follow this non-diet plan.

It's a 28 day process and there are four phases to follow, Haylie talks about eating every four hours and hey, I can do that,I do on daily basis. I have never done it like she describes but when I do snack I try to make it as healthy as possible. But she gave specific things with specific time frames to eat them and again I thought this won't be so bad. I like fruits and vegetables there is even a "phase" that allows for carbs.  Then she gives you exact foods you can eat during the phases. She also tells you what type of exercise to do during the phase.  There is one HUGE rule if it's not on the list don't eat it.

None of this is hard and I understand that but this is what happened. I started out with every intentions on following phase one to a T Monday morning then life got in the way. The first excuse I had was I forgot to bring the book or a list with me to the grocery store so I wasn't stocked up on phase one foods to eat, then you know I looked at the list and coffee was not on it OMG I can't live without my coffee, then the last thing was I forgot to eat within thirty minutes of waking.

So needless to say I never actually made it through any of the phases but I am hoping one day I will work up the will power and have the mindset to be completely prepared and work my way through all of the phases.

This books is very well written, easy to follow, with very basic instructions. There is no guess work on your part so if you are looking to lose weight and have the will power to eat only certain things this book would be for you. From what I see this is not a starvation diet it is just a "strictly limited to" these foods on these days. Sorry I really wish I could sit here and tell you -- or show you that I'm 20lbs lighter but I never even tried.

Clear Scalp and Hair

image
I received a full size bottle of Clear Scalp and Hair shampoo and conditioner from SheSpeaks. It’s a total care nourishing Gently shampoo that cleanses & nourishes scalp and hair. Formulated with Nutrium 10™, an advanced moisture complex of vitamins and nutrients including vitamins B5, C & E, sunflower, almond, soybean & coconut oils and aloe vera.
When I opened the bottle the smell was intoxicating it smells sort of fruity and after you wash your hair the smell stays all day. There were times when I would move and catch a whiff of the smell.
The shampoo is very thick and does not take much to create a wonderful lather. The conditioner is also thick and does not take much to cover your entire head. It makes your hair feel so soft after one use.
I have been using it for about a month now and I noticeably have less strands of hair falling out on a daily basis. And as an added bonus it helps control frizz. I have unruly fly-aways but with this shampoo and conditioner I got away with only blow drying my hair after washing -- NO strengthener needed. Of course I don't do that all the time but it was a great perk when I was in a rush. I give Clear Scalp and Hair a 10 out of 10 and will purchase this product again.
I received this product to try for free from Shespeaks but the opionion is mine and I was given no additional compensation for this post.

Magic or a hoax? - L'Oreal Magic BB Cream

L'Oreal Magic BB Cream is an all-in-one beauty product is formulated to prime (to smooth skin's texture), perfect (hide imperfections), hydrate (for all day moisture), and correct skin tones (for a healthy looking even complextion). The price is between $8.00 & $11.00 and is available at stores like WalMart or your favorite drug store. And just incase you don't know BB stands for Beauty Balm

first application

Is this BB Cream Magic? I hope this will help you decide. My normal beauty routine is probably very similar to yours, it consist of facial soap, toner, and some type if not more then one moisturizing lotion/cream. I started using BB Cream under my foundation about a month ago. I loved the way it made my face feel but didn't like the way it made my face look very oily and shiny after a few hours of use. I read a lot of post by others and figured it was just a con of wearing BB Cream. I expected the same from this BB Cream.

As with any new make up I tried a little on my hand (as pictured above) and was very impressed with the way it blended but that was not a huge concern with my other BB Cream. This one starts off white (which freaked me out a little) and then turned the color of my skin tone. The shade a received was light 812 and it blended very nicely.

Of course, the next day I couldn't wait to apply my new BB Cream and started with my normal beauty routine. I applied the cream with my fingers like is suggested with most BB Creams. It took very little to cover my entire face but I find that it was not as creamy as my previous one. I also found that it for lack of a better explanation dried pretty fast and once it dried you had to press a little harder to spread it. But once a little was applied it blended nicely and matched my skin tone beautifully. Just to warn you, if you use too much it will have a chalky look to it. There is little to no smell and if you are like me the smell of a product makes a difference.

I still need my foundation to provide enough coverage for me to be comfortable but this provided a nice primer. I loved the way it stayed on all day and in turn my foundation last all day too and my face was not oily after a few hours. If applied sparingly it provides smooth even coverage and is very light weight. But I have not seen a huge difference in my skin and it does not provide SPF protection. I don't know if I love the L'Oreal Magic BB Cream because the only magic I see is it doesn't leave my face oily. I probably I will not purchase this product and over all I give it a 5 out of 10. Honestly If it made my face oily that score would be much lower.

I received this product complimentary for testing purposes from SheSpeaks but the opinion in this post is my own. http://www.shespeaks.com/
