Eddie Funkhouser Lip Color pack - giveaway

   

I don't care what my husband says I can never have enough lipsticks/lip glosses.  I really must have a hundred but they are all different even if similar in shade there is some variations from brand to brand. You probably know exactly what I mean.  I have reviewed EddieFunkhouser cosmetics for y'all before and they are amazing so I was very excited to review these for you!

I'm sure that you are the same way but the shade of lip color I wear depends on the makeup and outfit I'm wearing that day so when I saw the 4 shades I received I knew I would love them all.  One was a neutral shade and one was a pink/mauvish shade and those are the types of shades I all the time.

The lipstick and lipgloss both come in alot of other amazing colors so you find a shade that is perfect for you.  The lipstick goes on very smooth and feels great on my lips. The lipgloss goes on smooth as well, it's not gooey or sticky. I love when a lip gloss isn't sticky.


I love the brush it's so very unique. It come with a cap and it folds in completely to be neatly tucked in. I can put in it my purse or travel bag and not worry about it getting ruined.

The bristles are made very sturdy so they won't fall out. They are very soft but firm enough to make apply lipstick easy and accurate.

Eddie Funkhouser cosmetics review and Giveaway

I have a good time reviewing any type of product but makeup is one of my favorite things to review. There is just something exciting about getting new makeup and trying a new look.  I have an amazing new brand that I discovered to tell ya'll about.  Eddie Funkhouser is a revolutionary color cosmetics line created by professional makeup artist and creative visionary, Eddie Funkhouser. With its refined, minimalist packaging, and world-class, studio grade formulas (created predominantly in Italy) The Eddie Funkhouser range has the look and performance of prestige cosmetics delivered to customers everywhere at an unprecedented value  

When I pulled the box out of the package I thought it was cute with the signature. When I opened the box is was amazed at how generous Eddie Funkhouser was with the products provided for me to review. There is a section on the website with looks for 2014 and I liked a lot of them but I LOVED Sassy. I was just so pretty and I couldn't stop admiring it. To my surprise they provided me most of the products need to recreate this look. 

I will start with the HyperReal Eye Color Palette in Bedroom Eyes. This quad is gorgeous, the colors are a semi shimmer but still matte enough to wear in an every day look. It is nicely pigmented and goes on very smooth. When you run your brush over the shadow you get just enough to apply with very little fall out. It doesn't crease, settle, or fade through the day.  It sells for only $14.99! 

I received an Ultra Intensity Cheek Color in Plum Crazy it is pretty pink shade and the texture feel amazing smooth when applying. It goes on giving such a beautiful glow you could almost  pull it off as natural if you only use a little. The shimmer is perfect and it feels like silk when applied. Sells for $8.99 

The Haze Graffiti Liquid eyeliner is a beautiful glittery purple. It goes on smooth with no skips. You do need to dip it back in the bottle to have enough for the entire eye. It has a bold shimmery look that is perfect for a night out. Quick tip let it dry for a few seconds before opening your eyes. It is long lasting and doesn't smudge and it made my blue eyes pop!  Sells for $9.99 

The Quadro Variable Lash mascara is in a big tube but it's not bulky. The wand is big but can still be used on bottom lashes without making a mess. I have never used a mascara like this, there is a dial on the wand. It provides four different looks or combine them all for amazing dramatic lashes. The mascara has this intense black color which we all know makes a great mascara. It is not a messy mascara or tacky and does not smudge or flake. Removal is clean and it comes off easily.  I always use an eyelash curler before applying mascara.  Sells for $12.99 

I also received a Hyperreal Eye color in Lavender Sky which of course is a pretty shade of lavender. I used this color as an under eye highlighter because it is a soft shimmery color. It is pressed but is easy to get on the brush with very little fall out so there is no messy flakes everywhere.  Sells for $8.49 

The Hyperreal Hydrating lipgloss I received is called Publicity Stunt a grape graze and it is a shade of purple. I was a little afraid of this lipgloss but I wore purple lipstick for the longest time. I seems that colored lipsticks are making there way back to be a trend once again.  The lipstick goes on very smooth and silky with no gooey, sticky feeling. It is also very long lasting. The color is pretty but it is very dark for me unless blotted. Once blotted it is very pretty.

Starlooks January 2014 Starbox

It's no secret that I love monthly subscription boxes. I've said it time and time again it's like opening presents every month.  Only these presents are beauty related so that makes it even better.  When I got to review a Starbox I was super excited this one is filled with Starlooks makeup.  I have gotten Starlooks before and love it.  I was SOOOO happy when I saw what was in my box, it is filled with amazingness and for the price wow!!

The first thing I got was Starlooks FasionLashes professional, the box includes lashes and the glue. They look very full and natural. I have not mastered application so I only use lashes on special occasions. These sell for $13.00

A full size tube of Starlooks Tender Gloss in Puzzy which is a light shade of pink. Tender Gloss combines the property of lipgloss and lipstick. It's a very smooth application that leaves a soft shine. Sells for $13.00

A full size pot of Infinity EyeLiner in Orion which is a STUNNING shade of teal. it is so vibrant that all I want to do is look at it. This sells for $13.00

A full size Lip Gloss in Pearl Necklace which like the name insinuates is very shiny and sheer but leaves beautiful shine. This sells for $12.00

As an added bonus I got a mini zebra print nail file, priceless.

So let's see how much everything is full size and sells for $51.00 all together. All for only $15.00 with $2.68 shipping that is amazing. Be A Bombshell - The One Stick

When I first got the Be a Bombshell  The One Stick in my Ipsy Glambag I wasn't very excited. The color I got was Flustered which as you can see appears very bright and red. I couldn't figure out where to wear it, I don't wear red lipstick and red blush, really?  So I put it to the side. One day I decided to try it, and I'm so glad I did.

I used it as a lip gloss/lip stick first it was very light and not bright at all. It just gave a slight color to my lips which was perfect. Since it is matte finish I put lip gloss over it to add shine.  it wasn't gooey or sticky nor did it make me want to wipe it off like some lipsticks I've used.

The next thing I used it as was a blush, I know odd red blush but let me explain. It's not really red when applied. I put a little on my fingers and put a few dots on my cheek then blended. It blended beautifully with very little effort and it was a very pretty shade and stayed on all day. It's not sticky and it didn't flake or peel off.

I really like the one stick I give it two thumbs up and I'm so glad I tried it.They have six other colors and I would probably buy another color. I have tried other Be A Bombshell products and loved them. They are long lasting and wear very well.

My thoughts on lip balm

There's Chapstick and countless others, scented, unscented, tinted and not tinted. Most of use some type of lip balm but with so many out there which ones do you chose. I use lip balm constantly truthfully I call them all chapstick so if I start talking about chapstick keep in mind I don't mean that particular brand. I was a long time user of Carmex and it works great but I found myself wiping it off after a few minutes because it gets sticky and gooey and I hated that feeling.

I tried the plan Nieva Lip care which sells for around $2.99 a tube and I liked it it worked great without the sticky nasty feeling. The plan one is fine but I tried the Olive Oil and Lemon and I didn't like the smell at all. It smells funny but thankfully doesn't taste like it smells.  Neither of them are tinted so they are just lip balms. Thankfully the Nivea does not go on green.  I would have gone back to the original Nieva but then I tried NYC Applelicious.

NYC New York Color Appleicious sells for around $2.99 a tube and it comes in 10 different shades. It is a tinted balm and smells fantastic plus it is made with lots great ingredients like Shea Butter, Jojoba and Avocado Oil so it makes your lips feel fantastic. There is no sticky residue and although the color makes it more appealing to wear when you are out and about.  Just because it's tinted it doesn't mean you can't wear it when you are in your PJs or even before going bed. I really love the way this makes my lips feel soft and smooth. The smell is a plus it smells so much like candy it might make you hungry.

I also was given Lancome Baume in Love I thought it was a lipstick and I freaked out. As you can see the color is BRIGHT pink, almost blinding. Thankfully it does not go on that way, this one is clear when applied. It comes in a few other colors which do not go on clear and they sell for $26.00. Why would you pay $26.00 for a lip balm my first though was "that is CRAZY?" Does it work any better than the $3.00? What could possibly be so different? In my opinion there is NOTHING different about this lip "baume" it does nothing that the others do not and it does not make your lips look any better than the others.




I do believe in splurging if it's worth it but I would NOT pay $26.00 for something I could get for $3.00, I'll save my money and buy other things. I can think of lots things I can get for the remaining $23.00. Do you think lip balms are worth splurging on? What is your favorite lip balm?
