Adovia Dead Sea Shampoo and Conditioner

I love trying new hair care products but I have to be careful. My hair does not behave if I use the wrong products to say the very least. I was very excited when I was chosen to review the Dead Sea Mud Shampoo and the Dead Sea Salt Conditioner from Adovia .

The shampoo is formulated with natural ingredients such as Dead Sea Mud, Chamomile, & Olive Oil to bring deep hydration and moisture to the scalp which helps relieve itching and flakiness.  All of which I look for in a shampoo. I hate it when I use a new shampoo and my head itches like crazy. I don't use dandruff shampoo often but sometimes I feel I need it but with this shampoo I can get the benefits of a hydrating shampoo and dandruff shampoo.

When I pulled the shampoo out and saw the color I was taken back, it grayish and looks almost black. But when I smelled it I feel in love with the fresh smell. There really is no other way to describe it but fresh. It's not an overbearing smell but it is EXTREMELY pleasant. I love the way it smells so that was a shocker. It's not extremely thick so it comes out easily but it is not watery either. One or two squirts is enough to clean my entire head of hair and I have pretty  long hair. It doesn't lather a LOT but I don't feel lather deprived so it's just the right amount.

The conditioner is white so the first thing I thought was ying and yang working together. The conditioner is also a light extremely pleasant scent. The conditioner is a thinner consistency than the shampoo but still not watery. I have this thing about over using conditioner so I NEVER feel like a have enough. I need to control myself so two squirts is all I allow myself of any conditioner. Then I work it through my hair. The conditioner leaves my hair soft and manageable but it is not enough to stop tangles. Not blaming the conditioner NOTHING is enough that is why I overdose my hair with conditioner. My beautician told me to use a leave in so that is what I do with all of my shampoo and conditioner.

I LOVE this shampoo and conditioner. My hair looks fabulous, if I must say so myself. It's very easy to manage and style so it's not too soft. I don't know if any of you have this problem but sometimes a new shampoo will make my back break out. I have not had that problem with Adovia Dead Sea Mud Shampoo and conditioner. Nor have had an irritating itchy scalp it also not falling out and breaking.

The set is unisex so you can share with your hubby if you choose but you just might like it so much, you won't want to share.

HSI Professional Argan Oil Review

I have been trying a lot of hair oils lately and they are all very different.  I recently tried the HSI Professional Leave in Hair Treatment with Aragan Oil.  This is an anti-frizz, heat and color protector, leave in conditioner all in one. It leaves hair soft and silky and repairs damaged hair. Plus it can be used in moist or dry hair, all you do is put a few drops in your hand and spread it through out your hair.

The first thing I noticed when I used this oil is it has very little scent which is a good thing. I don't like it when the scent of my hair care products over rides the smell of my shampoo and conditioner. It is a medium consistency but a little goes a long way.  I will repeat a little goes a long way only one small dot is enough. If you use too much as with any oil your hair will look greasy and weighed down.

BUT if you use a little the oil is light weight and my hair looks great. My hair looks shiny and less frizzy easy to manage and style. It also stays less frizzy for a few n days. Even in hot, humid south Louisiana weather. I like this product and will continue to use this product until it's empty.

Crave naturals Detangling brush

I'm sure I've mentioned before that I have 3 girls. My middle,. most active daughter likes her hair long but she is some what of a.... I guess you would say restless sleeper. That is if she sleeps.  I cringe when I see how knotted her hair is sometimes and on more than one occasion I thought I would have to cut her hair due to the HUGE knot that would not come out. I mean how much of her hair can I pull out and still feel like a good parent?

So when I got chosen to review Crave Naturals Detangling brush for y'all I was super excited. She was even excited and  (she thinks)  I got pink because it her favorite color. I'm sure you can tell that I like pink too but I didn't tell her any different.

The first thing that stood out is this detangling brush has a handle where most do not.This makes it easy to hold and work through hair. It can be used in wet or dry hair which is great. I don't know how but while washing their hair all of my girls seem to knot it more than clean it.

The brush also has short rubber/plastic type bristles but they are not as short as other detangle brushes.  I don't know if you can see but the bristles are actually different heights. I tried it on my daughter and I'm super impressed it worked through even one of her toughest knots with no tears and minimal falling out. I did not work on my hair. I could not get through my course hair but I don't need something this.

My girls LOVE this brush every night one of them comes out and raves about how this brush doesn't hurt their hair. My boys love the feel of the bristles because it messages their head. Although it does not work for me, I still give Crave Naturals Detangling brush two thumbs up. I would recommend it to anyone with little girls.

Leven Rose Jojoba Oil Review and giveaway

I don't know if everybody recently discovered hair oil or just me but either way, it's becoming a huge craze for me. I have tons of them and not because they don't work but because when I see a good deal I pick them up or I have gotten a few in my subscription bags. I love the way they work. I need all the help I can get keeping my hair hydrated because it will feel like straw without extra attention.

When I was chosen to review LevenRose 100% JoJoba Oil  I was very excited. This oil is for your hair and skin plus it is 100% pure, 100% natural, unrefined, chemical free, and fast absorbing. I will say that is one of my biggest complaints when I use oils is they stay pretty oily on my skin and don't seem to absorb at all.

When I opened my package my first thought is that is a HUGE bottle. That's a good thing, I am certainly not complaining. While we are on the bottle it a glass bottle with an eye dropper type dispenser. The dropper only dispenses if shaken or squeezed so if you have a steady hand you won't waste any.

I used it on my skin first and I was very surprised because it doesn't feel oily at all. The consistency is a little on the thin side for oil but I think that is what makes it absorb so quickly, which is a huge plus. Then I tried it on my daughter's hair. She has hair like me, a little frizzy and always tangled so she needs a little help. I felt safe using it because it's all natural. It worked great and didn't leave her hair greasy, sticky, or oily. I also used it in my own hair and it didn't weigh it down nor leave it greasy/oily looking. My hair looked great very soft and silky and it styled as usual so it wasn't too soft.

The oil is organic with no preservatives, chemicals, or artificial fragrances are used. You can use it on skin as a moisturizer too for a radiant glow and supple skin. It absorbs quickly and can help reduce redness, inflammation, and scarring. Just a few drops is enough to see results in a days.

Zelo Brazilian Keratin Smoothing System

I don't know if I have ever mentioned it before but I have very frizzy hair. I have to work very hard to remove the frizz and even harder to keep the frizz away. I live in south Louisiana and almost every day is extremely humid so I'm sure that is a huge contributing factor. My hair is also naturally wavy so not only do I have to fight humidity but like most girls I love to use heat and color my hair (but don't tell anybody) so I guess that may share some of the blame.  I use numerous products most of the time they work but sometimes they just don't work .

When I was chosen to try the Zelo Professional Brazilian Keratin Smoothing system I was super excited. It is designed for frizz and curl control to give you salon results at home. it's said to eliminate frizz, add manageability, soften curls, reduce styling time, conditions hair, repair damage, add shine, is color safe with no harsh chemical. So in other words it's safe, simple, and affordable plus it works on ALL hair types.

I was not sure what to expect before I got my package but I assumed it was a shampoo, conditioner, and some other product. When I got my package and read the instructions, I was surprised it is only 2 products one is a Clarifying deep cleanser and the other is called Action Keratin smoothing solution.

The system is so simple to use all you do is clean your hair with the clarifying deep cleanser which is a shampoo type product. It doesn't give extreme lather but enough to the job if you make sure your hair is saturated. After that you towel dry then spray and spread the Keratin solution throughout your hair. Wait 45 minutes and wash it out using the Clarifying solution. The last thing you do is blow dry and straighten as usual. They are both a medium consistency and neither have an extremely strong smell.

You can see a big difference in my hair so I'm impressed. This treatment is said to last 30 washes so I'm anxious to see if it will continue to reduce the amount of frizz for that long.  Do you have a problem with frizz? You can purchase your own at Drugstore.com and Walgreens.com (on-line only)

The mint makes my head feel rejuvenated with a fresh tingly feeling while using it. It leave my hair soft and silky plus it does wonder for my lack of volume.

Original Sprout review and Giveaway

Original Sprout is a company I just recently discovered. They sent me a generous package to review and I'm so excited to tell ya'll about the products. I got an Island Bliss shampoo, Luscious Island conditioner, and Tahitian Hair Oil Plus a tube of Scrumptious Baby Cream.

The Island Bliss shampoo has ingredients like Mongongo Oil, vegan protein & moisture. With a gentle PH to help retain hair color it's great for not only for color treated hair but dry hair as well. It is also sulfate free and safe for daily use. The shampoo's subtle but noticeable scent is AMAZING living up to the name island bliss . I will say the shampoo doesn't provide an over abundance of lather but there is enough to leave my hair feeling clean.

The Luscious Island Conditioner is a medium consistency conditioner that is great for all hair types and textures. With ingredients like Mongongo Oil it smooths and detangles plus locks in color and shine. It doesn't take very much to work through my hair and leave it soft and silky. It too smells amazing with a coconut scent a little stronger than the shampoo but it's certainly not overwhelming.

I've been hooked on leave in oils since the first time I tried one but I feel madly in love with the Tahitian Hair Oil. It's way different because although it is an oil my hands don't feel greasy after I apply it.  I smoothed two pumps through wet hair and let air dry most nights. It is very light weight and didn't weigh my hair down or make it look greasy.  The smell of the oil is also amazing and sweet but not overly sweet.  You can also use as a "lotion" for your skin. I like to use oil during the winter because my skin tend to get dry.

While using the three my hair has been soft, silky, and manageable with a beautiful healthy shine. My hair is very easy to comb/brush and style. I am very impressed this hair care trio.  As an added bonus all three have no parabens and are 100% vegan, organic, and natural.

Now for the Scrumptious Baby Cream I have no LITTLE babies but lets face it they are always babies to you. But anyway my point is this still got tons of use at my house. I was the one getting the most use, so don't let the name fool you. This lotion is soft and silky without being greasy or oily. It absorbs in seconds and leaves your skin feeling amazing.  I have dry hands so I use this lotion all day.  I can start typing right after I apply the lotion with no residue on the keyboard. I don't know about you but that's a HUGE deal to me.  One of my favorite lotions leaves white traces on my keyboard if I type too soon after I apply it. Imagine telling a client, please hold, my lotion needs to dry. That's not acceptable so most of the time I would apply lotion on my breaks to avoid getting the keyboard messy.  The scent reminds me of a baby so that must be another reason for the name. 4 of my children and I also have eczema patches on occasion and this did not irritate our skin at all. This too is paraben free and  100% vegan, organic, and natural so you can feel safe using it on you baby or yourself.

I'm very glad I discovered Original Sprout. The website has other products like styling products and SFC and there are lots of size options, you can even purchase some of the product in a trial sizes. Rock Your Hair - Bombshell Big Hair Powder

I hate to write negative reviews but sometime it has to happen. I have come to the conclusion that I won't like everything I try and you deserve to know the good and the bad.  I recently got to try Michael O'Rourke Rock Your Hair Bombshell Big Hair Powder from Swaggable. 

I was very excited to be lucky enough to be chosen to it because I am always looking for the best thing to give my hair volume.  The first day I got this powder I thought the packaging was adorable. I also appreciated how generous the sample was. 

I dumped a good bit of powder in my hand and rubbed it all over my hair.  I was immediately sorry that I put so much because I couldn't get the baby powder look OUT of my hair.  But I scrubbed a little with my hand and it went away. I didn't notice much of a difference in volume but what I did notice was a this uncontrollable desire to wash my hair. My hair felt sticky and straw like only at the roots where I applied it. It was so nasty to me I didn't want to touch my own hair. That night I couldn't wait to run to the shower. 

I tried it again with very little powder. I again, didn't see any noticeable difference in the volume. The urge to wash my hair was not as bad because my hair did not feel as sticky or straw-like with less powder.  Over all I give this product two thumbs down. It didn't work as promised plus it made my hair feel gross. Not a product I would recommend or buy again. A blogger buddy of mine loved hers so this is just my opinion.

Raise the Roots Review

As I may have mentioned before I am always searching for root lifters or volumizing hair care products. I have the flattest hair you can imagine if I don't work at it.  I usually use a root lifting spray and mousse to achieve ANY volume. I also blow dry my hair with a round brush for a little extra help. Well okay if I have plans I will take the time to blow dry my hair. But that is not exactly my favorite past time and it really takes too long for me.

I was super excited to review Raise the Roots by TruHair  which is a thickening fiber cream. I have used lots of products that claim to give volume but as I mentioned before I use a spray and mousse before I see results. I washed and combed my hair as usual. Then I put a very small amount of Raise the Roots in my hair as instructed I applied from root to tip.

Then I let it air dry like I do most nights. The next morning I woke up and straightened my hair. I was amazed at how nice my hair looked. It wasn't flat and stuck to my head. It also had a beautiful controlled bounce to it even after I straightened it.

I wasn't the only one that noticed when I walked out my husband said his usual you look nice. But this time he said " I really like your hair it looks very nice today." It's not like he has never complimented my hair before but there was a wow factor in his voice. You know what I mean? You can imagine how nice that was without a ton of extra work.

The cream itself is very thick so it takes very little to work. It does not weigh your hair down nor does it make it look greasy or feel sticky. I'm very impressed with Raise the Roots, it does the job of 2 products and a blow dryer.

October's Ipsy Glambag - spoiler- It's amazing

It's that time again!! My October Ipsy Glambag is here. A .07 fl oz size of Buxom Full on Lip Polish in Dolly which is beautiful a shade of light pink.  Full size .15 fl oz sells for $19.00. I never heard of this product or this brand. I'm excited to try it. I can never have enough lip gloss either.

A deluxe size 1.7 fl oz sample of  Big Sexy Hair Blow Dry Gel full size sell for around $15.00. I liked the Big Sexy Hair Humidity spray that I got in one of my previous Ipsy bags so I have high expectations for this one!

A .34 fl oz size H2O Plus Face Oasis Hydrating Treatment, full size sell 1.7 fl oz for around  $36.00.

A deluxe size 2 fl oz Be Delectable Hand cream in Strawberry & Cream full 6 fl oz size sell for $10.00. They also have a full line of products to coordinate scents.

Lets see if I got my money's worth in this bag. If I would have purchased all of these full size products I would have spent a whopping $88.00. That's a huge savings even though they are not all full size. I still feel like I made out pretty good because I get to try all these goodies for only $10.00! I will do specialized reviews on any products I love or hate so stay tuned.
