Precision Elite Food Thermometer

I usually love to cook, I am not a professional in anyway but I like to have lots of gadgets to use because I believe the right tools help a lot.  When I got to review the Precision Elite Food Thermometer for y'all I was very excited. My mom instilled in me a fear of salmonella poisoning and I always have a hard time telling when chicken is done. That is not a good combination so I do not like to cook chicken, I let my husband do it. When I cook chicken it's way over cooked and dry.

So I was hoping the Precision Elite Food Thermometer would help. All I have to do is make sure the chicken is the right temperature throughout and yay no more dry inedible chicken. 

The thermometer folds very neatly and comes in a storage bag which a huge plus to me. I can store it in my gadget drawer without it getting damaged. It couldn't be easier to use it comes one when you open it and to take the temperature all you do push a button. Then and wait for the thermometer to read the temperature. It read Fahrenheit or Celsius with the push of a button as well.  Then the power goes off when you fold the needle down. 

The temperature measures in a few seconds so no long wait over hot steam to get an accurate reading. I am really glad I got to review the Precision Elite Food Thermometer it is a gadget that will get a lot of use in my home. Hopefully it helps me become a better cook.

Kitchen Made Stainless Steal measuring cups

I love to cook and as I'm sure you know with the right tool everything goes smoother. I was very happy to review a set of Kitchen Made Stainless Steal measuring cups for ya'll. I have a set of measuring cups and I have a set of the bigger measuring cups that are plastic and the numbers have washed off. I find myself squinting and moving around to get an accurate measurement.

They are made by out of one piece of heavy duty stainless steel so the handles will never break off and no bending or rusting. They are hygienic and FDA approved. The set of six includes the following sizes: 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 2/3, 3/4 and 1 cup. Measures in mls for liquid ingredients and the numbers are engraved so the numbers will not come off and they are very easy to read.  They can stand alone with no fear of them dumping because the underside is completely flat. I also love the pouring lip because it makes it easier to get all of the ingredients out with less mess.

These cups are great and very heavy.  My husband picked them all up and said wow you could knock somebody out with these. Don't get me wrong you don't need to be a weightlifter to use them but they have some weight to them which is a good thing. It just means they are durable and sturdy. I was very happy when I saw they are store super easy because they fit neatly inside each other and do fall over. The ones I had before tipped over when they were all together and would fall out of the cabinet at me.

I have used the cups numerous times now and they wash very easily. They have not rusted, faded, or chipped. I have not put them in the dishwasher, and I don't THINK anybody in my house has either. If they did they cups are still in perfect condition.

They come with a lifetime guarantee and a free recipe eBook packed with 25 delicious recipes. I'm always looking for new things to try so the recipe book is exciting to me.  How things change, who would have ever thought a cook book would be exciting to me?

SuperSwizz Spiral Slicer Review

I have mentioned before I love to cook I'm always up to finding the newest must have kitchen utensil  or tool so when I was chosen to review the Super Swizz Spiral Slicer I was excited to to see how it worked.  The slicer is a simple design made of plastic with 2 slicers one on each side. The blades are different sizes so you have a choice of the size your slices are. The Japanese blades are stainless steel and create Julienne strips.  It is compact as every kitchen tool should be because I don't have tons of storage in my kitchen.

 I was surprised how much I loved it. It is very simple to use, put the vegetable in and twist. That's it there is nothing more to it. The blades are super sharp and cut the first time around so no fighting with it to grate. You don't really need to push hard just slightly firm. I used it with a Zucchini and Squash and both came out perfectly and equally as easy to slice.  What I really like about the slicer is the slices are so fine, I think I can sneak healthy veggies into some dishes without my children finding out. That is always a plus.

The package comes with a little cleaning brush and the blades were very easy to clean. It was amazing how quickly the particles came off when I ran the slicer under water and scrubbed a little with the brush they provided. It is also dishwasher safe if you place it on the top rack. I have had choppers that were very hard to clean even with the scrapper they provided. I would pull it out to use only to see particles were still there. That was very unsanitary to me.

After using the Super Swizz Spiral Slicer you will have very little left overs and that means very little waste. Anything that saves me money is a plus too! I love salads so I can't wait tot try slicing carrots. I wonder if will work for cheese? I can see it now  we will have tons of sliced vegetables in the near future.

Oven Art Bakeware Silicon Muffin Pan

I'm sure I have mentioned before I love to bake I just wish I had more time. My children love to bake with me it's a great bonding experience and we have lots of fun. I have always seen silicon pans I have always wanted to try them just never got around to it. Until Oven Art choose me to review their Silicon Muffin Pan.

It is shaped just like a traditional muffin pan but instead of metal or ceramic it is silicon. So you can imagine it is pretty flexible and squishy. But no worries it is designed to be that way. Silicon is such a great idea for baking because is cools fast and will be cool to the touch within minutes of removing it from the oven. Then to remove the goodies from the pan all you have to do is pop them out with your fingers. You can use it just like any other pan even if you don't use cupcake liners all you do is spray with cooking spray to prevent sticking.

Despite being silicone and a little squishy the pan is NOT flimsy and is a lot sturdier than I expected. I would recommend using 2 hands to take it out of the oven because the batter does weigh it down a little.  I like that the pan cools down so quickly and cleans so easily. No more soaking and scrubbing. I know some my old pans are very hard to clean because the batter sticks everywhere. I give this pan 2 thumbs up.

Ozeri Stone Earth Pan

If you have been following me long enough you know I like to cook. I have also mentioned before that most of my so called "non-stick" pans don't exactly hold up to that promise. So I was very excited to review another pan for y'all the Ozeri Stone Earth Pan.

The Stone earth pan looks like stone because it utilizes a natural stone-derived coating hence the name. The coating is from Germany and it achieves non-stick perfection without PFOA, a harmful chemical found in traditional pans.  It's also eco-friendly and delivers unprecedented non-stick performance without releasing harmful fumes or toxins at high temperatures. 

Features a scratch-resistant stone-based coating that is super easy to clean. The interior is made out of durable heavy-gauge die-cast aluminum with no harmful chemicals or trace metals. The handle is silicon and heat resistant which I love because there have been many times I picked up a hot pan and ouch!  

The pan is very nicely made and  let me tell you when I picked up this pan I was surprised how heavy it is. I will have to be extremely careful not to drop in on my foot. I also love that it came with a little protective sleeve for the inside because I use paper towels in my other pans.

The nonstick coating works great and is extremely easy to clean.  I am very happy with this pan and would recommend trying it.

Ozeri Green Earth Pan

I love to cook but I don't love to clean up after. I make a huge mess when I cook so when I'm done it looks like there was some type of explosion in my kitchen. Because I have so much to clean I usually walk away and come back to finish the dishes a little later.  I know that makes it harder to wash the dishes but for some odd reason I have never learned my lesson.

My sister mentioned non-stick pans/pots. Guess what sis? When I purchased my pots and pans they said NON-Stick so I assumed it really doesn't help. She swore that was not true and non-stick pots were the best thing ever.

Normally when I cook eggs I have to scrape most of the eggs off the side which is extremely frustrating   Today I scrambled eggs in my Ozeri Green Earth Pan. I never thought a pan could be exciting but wow I was so impressed. I went to stir the eggs and noticed nothing was sticking to the sides. I could have  made a perfect omelet if I wanted to. I never knew what my sister meant until today.

As you probably guessed clean up with the Ozeri Green Earth Pan is a breeze as well. If there is nothing stuck there nothing that needs to be scrubbed off. All I did was run it under water until I was ready to wash dishes.  Once I was ready it was very easy to wash and dry then I stored it with my other pans.

It's very durable but light weight. I love that the handle is not metal because too many times I forget to grab a mitt before I pick up the pan and ouch. That's another lesson I should have learned by now but you know.

This pan will get tons of use at my house. They also make a 10" and a 12" inch which a bigger would be great. My mother in-law likes to give us housewares for Christmas so that's a thought.  Ozeri makes lots of other household items as well. This is the third Ozeri product I've tried and they continue to impress me. The quality and function are great! Click here to check out another Ozeri product that gets tons of use at my house.

Love Cooking Company review and giveaway

I don't know if any of you know this about me but I love to bake. Sometimes I use it as time to relax, some times it is a fun activity to do with my children. We actually bond over cookies and cupcakes and have fun doing it.  When I got the Mrs. Fields Half N Half Cooking pan, Sto N Go Dessert Carrier, and Scoop N Cut Cookie Tool from Love Cooking Company I was so excited.  The first day I had off I took the opportunity to bake cupcakes in my Half N Half cupcake pan. I didn't even wait for the kids to get off of school, I in fact wanted to surprise them but I ran a little too late. They walked in on me pouring the batter and their eyes got extremely big. I had dyed the batter pink and purple for the girls, orange and green for the boys.

The cupcakes were a huge hit with my children but I can see them great for any occasion.  I already have green and red planned for Christmas and black and orange for Halloween.  When I asked my children to rate the Half N Half  on a scale from 1 - 5 one said a five another said 12.  I'm not sure if they meant it the way I took it by I would give it more than a five if I could too.

The Half N Half although very simple, it's a cupcake/muffin pan with a separate
plastic removable piece that has a divider in the middle for the mix.  It is a genius idea it's one of those things that makes you say, why didn't I think of that. You may think to yourself I don't need that . Why would I want to make cupcakes that are different colors. But it's not just colors you can easily do strawberry chocolate cupcakes. If you are a muffin eater, this can be used for muffins too can't decide what flavor you want? Have them both in one muffin.  The pan is a great quality and all the cupcakes baked quickly and evenly. It was super easy to wash and as you can see I'm very messy! All the excess came of with warm water and a sponge no scrubbing required.



With holidays around the corner Mrs. Fields Sto N Go and Scoop N Cut Cookie tool are perfect to bring homemade treats to everyone you visit.  With the Scoop N Cut there is no guessing when it comes to cookie measurements. When I do cookies they come out different sizes, one is huge the others are little. When that happens they don't all cook evenly.  All you do with the Scoop N Cut is scoop some cookie dough and drop it on the pan. There are two sizes to choose from but either way all of your cookies will be even. The middle doubles as a cutter for the cookie dough that is in a roll. Then to carry them, the Sto N Go is perfect.
