Michael Todd Pumpkin Facial Mask

I received a deluxe size sample of Michael Todd Pumpkin Facial Mask in my Ipsy bag.  The full size 3.4 oz bottle sells for $34.00 and is said to be:  Rejuvenating facial treatment which uses nutrient-rich Pumpkin blended with Glycolic Acid. Contains high concentrations of proteolytic enzymes, anti-oxidant beta carotene and over 100 other essential vitamins, minerals, phytosterols and fatty acids. And it claims it exfoliates to remove dead skin, impurities and toxins, moisturizes and firms, improves elasticity and pliability of the skin, unclogs pores allowing skin to breathe and facilitates movement of skin oils. Adds brightness and radiance to the skin and significantly improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.  I was very excited to try it because I love a good facial mask because they make my face feel so nice.

When I opened the mask it smelled JUST like pumpkin not saying that's a bad thing but I'm not saying it;s a good thing thing either. I don't know why I was so surprised by the smell because it is named pumpkin facial mask but I was a little taken back by it. The look of it horrified me, it was the consistency of baby food. I mean I could have taken a jar of baby food out and put it on my finger and put the face mask on another and you would not have known the difference. I don't know about you but baby food is not something I want on me, I have had enough of that for ten lifetimes. As grossed out as I was I tried it anyway.

I rubbed baby food.. umm I mean the facial mask on my face and it started burning around my cheek and my nose. Not a pleasant feeling but it went away after a minute or less. The directions say leave on for 5 - 10 minutes so I left the mask on my face for around five minutes then washed it off. Sad to report I felt nothing special my face didn't feel soft or refreshed in any way.  It may take a few uses before you feel any of the benefits claimed but I don't think I will use it again.
