Looking for something to watch ? Nun II could be a winner?!

If you don't know already, I am obsessed with horror so that will be a lot of the movies I review. Full disclosure I grew up in a haunted house and I have watched horror/thriller since I was young. 

I liked the original Nun but it was nothing spectacular to me. Other than the look of Nun herself it was not that terrifying. 

This was a good movie.  I jumped at some places, the graphics were great.  Nothing hugely terrifying happened in this one.  There were not a lot of jump scares at all. The first was much better at making you jump out of your seat.  Overall, I would watch this if you liked the first but I don't know if I would go the theater for it. 

Synopsis: 

“The Nun II” follows Sister Irene (Taissa Farmiga) five years after the first film's events. When she befriends Debra (Storm Reid), a newbie nun in a crisis of faith, they are put to the test after the Vatican demands Irene perform another miracle. Valak was not destroyed, and she’s reigning terror on religious figures across Europe. As priests fall victim to gruesome demonic murders, from immolations to hangings and more, Irene and Debra rush to a French boarding school to figure out Valak’s motive and how to send her back to hell.

Why is this causing such a controversy ?

With all the hype around the new little mermaid I wanted to put my two sense in.

First and foremost with everything going on in the world I don't understand why anyone has time or energy to put that much hate into a movie character. Second, In a year or less who the F*** will care. This is not a life changing thing people. It is a movie that is made for kids... I must add Kids that DO NOT care what color the mermaid is. They are going to see a princess and be delighted to see the moie. So why are adults acting like like this is a big deal???/

I loved the little mermaid animated movie and I am very excited for the live action one as well.
For those who are butt hurt because the "new" Little Mermaid will be African American here is the actual story:

" Friendly reminder that The Little Mermaid is based on a book by Hans Christian Andersen published in 1837 where "Ariel" has her tongue ripped out in exchange for feet (feet that bleed the entire time she's on land, btw). She comes on land to try to win the prince's love in order to steal part of his soul (mermaids apparently don't have souls, but live for 300 years, so I guess you win some, ya lose some). She fails, and the prince marries someone else. She contemplates murdering him in his bed, but can't bring herself to do it, so she dies/melts into seafoam.








By the way, her skin is green.

There. Now I'VE ruined your childhood, and you can stop complaining about/debating the casting choice of a Disney remake about fish people

But in the end the color of Little Mermaid's skin really has ZERO bearing on your life. There are so many other issues to be passionate about that could actually make a difference in the world. 

Halle Bailey is beautiful young lady that I can assume is very talented (only because I have not seen her work). Let this child .. Yes she is a child.. enjoy her her new role.

I couldn't wait to see this movie and it did not disappoint. It's funny as ****.  It's a story of every day life struggles, a deep look into how petty women can be to each other sometimes, dives into the challenges we all experience raising children, and a love story all in one.

I love that it shows what I've always felt ~~  we are all "Bad Moms" in our own way. No matter how how we try, it's impossible to be perfect at raising children.  I don't know about you but sometimes I feel like I don't know what the hell I'm doing. The moral of the story is sometimes it's okay to slow down and do something for yourself you know, be society's definition of a bad mom.  Unknown to most, in the end it may make you a better mom.

If you are not offended by crude sexual humor and LOTS of explicit language this is a MUST watch. Needless to say NOT for children, we can't let them know our secrets. My husband and I are outnumbered we can't have the children know we're winging it.

The entire theater was filled with laughter scene after scene.  Lots of well know stars and each character brings their own charm, wit, and humor to the movie.  And they all deliver a great Mother #%#58** performance.

I've been a long time fan of Keanu Reeves. I was hooked since Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure  but I haven't seen many films from him lately. When I saw the plot of Knock Knock I figured why not give it a shot. 

There is nothing scary about two beautiful girl's knocking on your door right? Well Evan Webber soon learned different.  Knock Knock is more of a psychological thriller than actual thriller but still pretty freaky. Although it's not a scream at every turn movie,  it is an edge of your seats waiting to see what happens type of movie. 

Knock Knock gets 4 stars from me. I watched until the end with anticipation. I was not bored or uninterested at any part. I actually could not anticipate the next move at some point in the movie.  Great date movie,  but I don't know that you'll be grabbing him and holding him close in fear.

I couldn't wait to watch this movie. The minute I saw my first trailer I knew it was a movie that I HAD to see.  Not many people don't know the names Ice Cube, Easy E, and Dr. Dre. Just like I'm willing to be majority of  you know NWA.

So to watch the story of how the music I enjoyed for many years came alive was very exciting. Needless to say the sound track was off the chain! How could it not be? You get to listen to Snoop, Dre, Easy E, and Ice Cub discover their talents and write lyrics songs that went platinum. I would be willing to be you like at least one if not all of those artist! I know when i was younger I had all of Snoop and Dr. Dre's CDs.

The movie also shows stories that were making headlines during the late 80s. Most of us were old enough to remember seeing actual new footage.

Casting was amazing the actors look like the artist probably did when they were teens. The voices match also so if you close your eyes you can identify them when they speak as well. They were easy to identify at first site.

If you didn't guess it's not suitable for small children. There's tons of violence and enough filthy language to embarrass a few people I know. But if you grew up on the music, you're ears are very used to that type of talk.  It's an attention grabbing can't look away movie with a real plot and with some tear jerking scenes.

I would give the movie a 4 out of 5 stars.  I say well worth going to the movies for! It would make a great date night movie.

Should you run to the theater to watch No Escape?

synopsis:

I was excited to watch No Escape I like Owen Wilson and the trailer looked amazing.  The movie is not what I expected. It was a B movie (what I call low budget) although it somewhat kept my attention it is not an action packed edge of the seat movie.

It's a totally predictable movie but at some point I didn't even care to guess what would happen next. It made no difference to me.

I would give it a 2 out of 5 stars and recommend waiting until it comes out on DVD. It's not a rush to watch type of movie.

My Grandchildren loved watching this movie, from beginning to end they were captivated

with this amazing movie. When the movie ended I asked them what their favorite part

of the whole movie was. Without a doubt it was when Tom and Jerry helped get the baby

dragon back to it's mother. I would recommend this DVD to anyone, as this is a great movie

for the entire family to set down and watch.
