Techno Gears Marble Mania Quest

The minute I saw this I knew my boys 5 and 10 would love it. They love their marbles and they love to tinker. So this is was a great toy for them.

The set is 200 pieces but each bag is clearly marked with part numbers and the step by step directions are in color.  So that makes it much easier to put together. My husband put it together for the boys and he made it look easy. I felt slightly bad about "making" him do it but he said he had fun so that eased my mind. 

Once all the pieces are put together the Quest stands tall and has working gears that make marble travel through the slides and buckets. It is very easy to  crank my 5 year old does it with no problems. The fact that the pieces snap together makes it very durable. Any "broken" pieces can easily be snapped back into place. 

The gears move very smoothly letting the marbles travel throughout every twist and turn. The set comes even include marbles so you don't have to worry about buying the right size and weight! 

My boys (and girls) love the Techno Gears Marble Quest. Once it was up all we heard was cool! Awesome! One of my girls even said "they're so lucky" So I don't think this is a boys only game. This would make a great gift for any little one.

Potty training boys

I wish children came with manuals and with five children I'm not even close to being an expert.  A few things I do know is no two children are the same and raising boys is way different from raising girls. I think I've done a good job so far but the only thing I'm convinced about is all I can do is my best and hope I'm not messing them up too bad.  I've talked to many other parents and I 'm pretty sure I'm not alone in thinking that way. 

I'm even more at a loss when it comes to getting my four year old son to stay dry during the night. I started very early potty training all of my children. When I was potty training my twins my son caught on very quickly but I thought my daughter was going to start school in a diaper. As time progressed my daughter started using the potty and never looked back. Oddly enough my son started having accidents after a while and although he is four and half he still has accidents on occasion.  He also will not wake up dry no matter what we try. 

My three year old has been potty trained for almost a year now and she is dry everyday so she will be coming out of pull ups soon. My son has only been dry once or twice when I wake him up in the morning, and my four year old daughter has been out of pull ups for over a year. We have tried everything we don't let him drink after 6:00 pm most nights, we have tried waking him up before we go to bed to let him use the bathroom, the doctor suggested making him empty his bladder after a warm bath, and we ALWAYS make him use the bathroom before he goes to bed.  Still he is soaking wet when he wakes up in the morning.


Everyone says it is because he sleeps so hard but my son will lay in bed awake and not bother to get up to go to the bathroom. We have tried taking him out of pull ups and letting him sleep in underwear thinking that would help. It did nothing but break my washing machine. It is like he is perfectly happy pottying in his pants. I swear I think he would use a pull up all day if we let him. I wonder if he will ever stop using pottying at night? Have any of you had this problem? Does anybody have any suggestions?
