Holiday VoxBox

I knew the Influenster Holiday VoxBox 2012 was being released last week and I was very bummed that I was not chosen to take the pre-survey. Then a few days ago I was I was very confused because the Holiday VoxBox badge popped up under my fun file. When I asked on FaceBook I was told that all of the boxes were taken so I figured it was just some type of glitch that the badge was there. Then under "mandatory tasks" it said "Check in box" which confused me even more. Talk about a wonderful surprise when I came home Christmas Eve and there was a Holiday Voxbox waiting on my doorstep. So unlike Influenster no pre-survey, no confirmation e-mail, and no opt-in email but I am in no way complaining.
I can't figure out what I am more excited to try because every thing in the box is amazing. Here is a list of what was included in my box

Goody Quikstyle Half Round Brush

The GoodyHair Quikstyle brush is one of my favorite things that I received in my Influenster Holiday VoxBox. I was very excited to try this brush with such a unique concept of microfiber bristles intermingled with normal brush bristles. I was even more excited that the style I received was the HalfRound because I usually blow dry my hair with a round brush. A lot of people think the brush is designed to dry your hair. It does NOT dry your hair nor was it intended to dry your hair.

What it does, however, is remove excess water to cut the time you have to wait for your hair to dry. I like that if I didn't want to blow dry my hair after my shower, I could use this brush and have my hair dry before I went to sleep. Although my hair not very thick it would take a while to dry so some nights I would go to bed with my hair still slightly wet. At first I did not like how it worked to blow dry my hair because it did not give me the volume that a full round brush did. But I have figured out how to make it just has effective as full round brush. All I did was pull the brush further from my head - sorta of like holding your hair up a little. This worked very well and gave me the volume I got from a full round brush. It also did not leave my hair frizzy. The handle and bristles of the half round brush is very sturdy and well made.

I also don't find this brush pulls out hair like other brushes have in the past. The microfiber bristles are also holding their shape but I have not washed the brush yet. It is helpful in making your hair dry faster than just towel drying alone. Anything that makes you look beautiful is good but if it saves you time it’s even better. I really like this brush and would recommend trying it. I hope in the future to see a full round Quikstyle brush and would run to the store to get one. The brush sells for around $11.99 in stores like Walmart and Walgreens.
