Swim Cap For Long, Thick, or Curly Hair Review + Giveaway

I have always heard if you swim too soon after dying your hair your hair will turn green. So during the summer I'm terrified to dye my hair or I have wait to jump in the pool. That is really hard sometimes because I will swim everyday for exercise if the weather is nice. I got a swim cap and was so excited because it would help my hair. NOT the cap was so tight at the top but the big gap at the bottom allowed all of my hair to get wet. Talk about a big let down.

So when I saw this Swim Cap for Long, Thick or Curly Hair I was really interested in trying it. Summer is coming soon and my pool is looking more inviting every day.  So I couldn't wait to see if this cap helps.

The cap is really large, like much larger than expected but that is what makes it cover and stay in place to keep the hair covered. It's really comfortable to wear and I don't feel like it's squeezing my brains out. That is partly due to the fact that they take into consideration people who swim have hair! I will never understand how long hair girls shove all of their hair in those little caps.

This cap is made out of the same material as other swim caps so it had a strong silicone smell at first. But that material is what makes it stretchy and comfortable. I really hope it keeps the water out of my hair when I'm using it.  Right now it's WAY too cold to jump in the pool, as nice as it looks.

There are lots of different colors to choose from so check them out here. The cap can be used as a shower cap as well but that is different from being in a pool. Although my shower cap does allow my hair to get wet at the bottom.

Good luck!

  2. I do not have a skin cap but I do have very long and thick hair. I have been having back problems and am going to start indoor swimming but I wondered how I could leave the facility with wet hair every day. You just answered my biggest question!

  3. In college I always wore a swim cap but that was a long time ago. I really need to start having my girls wear one because their hair gets so worn out from the chlorine.
