Ultrasonic Dog Training Whistle

My dogs are trained in some ways but not in others. I have a dog that is 15 years old and since he went blind he doesn't listen as much as I would like. I don't like using a shock collar I think that is cruel so I have basically just resorted to spanking him every now and then. I don't like to spank him he is my baby and I feel so bad because is so old and blind. But I do have to have some discipline from him. He stops to roll in the grass forever when I'm calling him to come inside.

So I was very excited to review the Ultrasonic Dog Training Whistle   because that is a great alternative to a spanking and shock collar. Plus it resolves the issue right there, I don't find spanking resolves the issue. I have never seen a dog training whistle so when I pulled it out I was very surprised how little it is.

So I started blowing the whistle I noticed my dogs perked up so I thought this will be interesting. I keep the whistle by the door so when I have it when go get the dogs. I let them out of the pin and I stand by the door while calling them. If they don't come I call them one more time then I will blow the whistle. We have been working the with the whistle and they are starting to recognize that as the signal to come to the door.

The whistle will not work immediately but it does work after time. Let's face it nothing works immediately you have to train a dog. Hell you have to train kids and your husband too so you know nothing works the first time you use it.

received one or more of the products mentioned above for free in exchange for an honest uncompensated review. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

  2. You're right, training your husband takes years, so being patient with your dogs is much easier. I have 2 dogs and one is a runner, our labordoodle. We took your advise and bought the whistle. It's working and he has come back about 75% of the time now. I realize that with more time is patience it will work. Thank you very much. We really appreciate it and so does Dutch, the lab. I'm not sure he realizes that it's good for him but his safety is No. 1 with us. Thanks again!

  3. If the whistle works, I say go for it! I can't bear spanking dogs, so I would just feel guilty & like you said, it doesn't really work, but a whistle would definitely get their attention.

  5. I don't have a dog any more but aren't these a little cruel? Don't take offense please, I am only asking. I mean they don't hurt the dog at all? I have never used one so I'm curious about that aspect of them.
