I'm always looking for different things to eat for breakfast. I get tired of the same old cold cereal, pop tarts are very fattening and who has time for bacon and eggs?
So when I got my package from Vitalicious to review for y'all I was so excited. They had different flavor muffin tops and cakes that are low in fat and calories plus high in fiber. I know I should try harder because I don't get enough fiber but.....well I really have no excuses it's just not something I really think about.
I tried my first VitaTop it was double chocolate and I chose to pop it in the toaster (there are different cooking options. We'll talk about those later) I loved how it had a crispness without being crunchy. The chocolate chips were slightly melted and so delicious they could have had lots more and I would have been a very happy person. I ate the tasty muffin top for breakfast and was full. What I didn't think about until much later is I didn't get hungry until lunch time which is VERY unusual for me. I am always hungry, I normally look for a snack around 10:00 am. I have been trying to stop so much snacking so I will eat VitaTop for breakfast much more often.
The next one I tied was the chocolate chip Vita Top which was delicious. I very much enjoyed that muffin top and it is such a nice treat to have something different for breakfast. The same thing this time I didn't get hungry or the desire to snack. I actually at 2:00 pm that day and was just starting to get hungry.
Did i mention they were low in calories and fat? With only 100 calories, 1.5 fat grams then an added bonus of 4 grams of protein! So fast, convenient, low in fat and calories, plus high in fiber! Wow that's a breakfast you can feel great about eating every morning. With all the different varieties you can choose from, I can't imagine anyone getting board with them.
They also have Vita Cakes so you can indulge in a delicious snack but leave the guilt behind. As you can see on the package there is only 50 calories and it's 24% fiber. This is low fat and low calories. With all the fiber you can feel good about eating your afternoon snack. It's so rich and chocolaty way different from other low calorie snacks I have tried. The snacks also come in a variety of flavors so there is sure to be one for everybody in your family.
For the VitaCake you don't pop it in the toaster, you let it thaw for 15 minutes then microwave it ( I put it for 30 seconds) and you have a delicious, warm, low fat snack.
Vitalicious products will be in my freezer from now on. On my office days when I don't have time for breakfast I can throw one in my purse and it will defrost while I'm commuting then I will pop it in the microwave and have breakfast.
