One very clear memory from my child hood is the wooden spoon my mom used to stir the tea. I'm not sure why but that is something that still stands out. I remember how she would always reach for it, then I remember how it would turn dark when it got wet. I also remember how it was around for a long time so it must have been a very good spoon. I've looked but never found a spoon that was the same quality.
So when I was chosen to review products from Surparhs I immediately knew I wanted the Bamboo Cooking utensil set with holder. This 8 piece set is a filled with amazing wooden utensils and they are all stored neatly in a very cute square wooden vase like container Not only are the spoons great for stirring ice tea they are great to cook with on non-stick surfaces. I have used them in my Wok. The set has lots of utensils that you will use. To name a few there are tongs, spatula, solid spoons, and slotted spoons plus more. Every piece is very strong and sturdy with no rough edges.
The next thing I got to review is a 3 pack of bamboo cutting boards. The sizes are 8", 11" and 13" so you can grab the size needed for the job. You can also cut meats one and veggies on the other to avoid cross contamination. My mom would have loved that idea she had a salmonella phobia I really never thought about it but you are supposed to replace your cutting boards every few years. I should have thought of that, I mean duh, they do get germy. I am always reaching for a cutting board for various task. Whether I'm cutting fruit or chicken it goes in the dishwasher to be sanitized. I have a plastic and glass (which I never use) but I have never used wood so I was excited to try these as well.
Although thin and light weight, the boards are very well made. They don't scratch or get damaged when you cut on them. I have used them a few times and there are no knife marks. The boards are knife friendly and help preserve the blades integrity so your knives can stay sharper longer. In addition the cutting boards are ECO friendly, resist odor, and FDA approved. Surpahs says there are made overlapping to prevent warping, cracking, or splitting. You just wash clean with soap and water, they are not dishwasher safe. A little Google research shows that bamboo makes and excellent cutting board material. It is recommended over glass and plastic cutting boards.
Surpahs has lots of other great bamboo products one thing that caught my eye is the Wave Bamboo In-drawer knife storage block I could use something like that! They also offer a nice variety of digital kitchen scales all at a great prices, so you're sure to find something you love.

I received these products complimentary in exchange for an honest uncompensated review but rest assured I only recommend products I feel are good for my readers.
I would love to try the Bamboo utensils and cutting boards. Ive have heard good things about them and You have just confirmed that for me. I like the idea of the wooden utensils. My mom always used wooden spoons when I was younger but they weren't bamboo. Thanks for an awesome review!
